It’s Sunday, the day before my birthday. Blogher14 is over and I’m soon to take a flight out of San Francisco to head home. This flawed but authentic signage is from a project sponsored by Leah Peterson. I was captivated by this almost biblical declaration that seems appropriate for all time. I didn’t realize I would revisit the depth of its message over the past 14 days.
I plan to prepare a complete thought in summary form about Blogher14 sometime this week. I enjoyed myself. Me and BlogHer are cool and I want to share my highlights. I just wanted to check in with you.
Meanwhile, what do the words, “flawed but authentic” evoke for you?

What immediately comes to mind when I read “flawed but authentic” is the kind of friends I like.

Hi Barbara
Such a succinct response. I totally agree with you. I can handle this kind of position in life. Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to hearing more, Patricia!

Someone once told me to look at your flaws like beauty marks. It’s what makes you special:)

I like this one Heather. And I have to remember they are part of parcel of who I am. Thank you for your comment.

Flawed but authentic specifically means to me “what you see is what you get”. When you look at me, you see me and some superficial human being pretending to be something she’s not.
Very thought provoking Patricia. Thanks for sharing this post. Small but meaningful and full of thought.
Take care,
Frances

Frances thank you so much for leaving a comment. Yes it really makes me think that i should hold myself closer and live with the fact that we are all flawed and hoping or trying to be authentic. Loved your list post.
