I just wanted to share a great Life Reimagined experience I think you will enjoy. Recently I made my first real trip to AARP’s Life @50 conference in Boston where I participated in the Life Reimagined Life Check Up. Some of you regular readers have heard me say I have re-imagined my life several times before. But I realize now that each time I did this, my thought was simply that I was becoming more of myself. I didn’t really think of these periods of transition as reimagining myself.
When I was 24, I wrote my big brother’s small business plan. He was 9 years older than me, informally educated and a true business wiz. His words to me because I was college-educated were, “If I were half as smart as you, I would have been a millionaire a long time ago.” Unlike him, I was struggling and stuck in a kind of malaise. I had been fortunate to have many experiences and adventures but felt lost. It was not until I realized I could run to something rather than away from everything that my life began to change. My brother in his own intelligence knew to cling to where he was drawn. I played between the waves.
Today part of my adventure involves me learning to tell stories visually. My Life Reimagined Life Check Up has given me the courage to move forward on this. Perfection will have to wait. Here’s my first video. Sound does not match images yet. Please stick with me. It will get better. Just focus on substance (smile).

I’m no longer waiting for perfection. At this point in my life – I’m not waiting. Period.

Indeed Taylor, you have spoken a mouth full. We are not waiting!!!! Hahahaha. True that!

Hey Pat……I was at the AARP convention in Boston. Sorry we didn’t meet up. Lots of food for thought there. Hope to see you or chat before the end of 2014

Hey Cheryl
I thought I saw a message from you then could not find it. I looked on email and my cell. Lo and Behold, here it is on my blog. What a surprise. We could easily see and chat before the end of 2014 (smile). Just takes a little hook up. Thank you so much for checking the blog out.
