In part one of Episode 5, I chat with Scheril Murray Powell, Esq., a transformational thinker, from whom I was anxious to learn more about specific strategies for addressing the complications older adults of color feel toward medical cannabis. But we really got into this conversation. Scheril shared how she’d been guided to create a cannabis practice in her legal firm which led to what can happen when you lean into your passion.
Every so often she asks herself, “how did I get here? Learn why Scherill says wherever it is you find yourself, it has to be fueled by your passion, your purpose, or your personal contribution. Money cannot be the sole motivation.
This is a wide-ranging conversation in which we talked about imposter syndrome, abundance, teamwork, multidimensionality, hemp farming, agricultural land loss, and an expanded definition of diversity.
Scheril is an agricultural and cannabis attorney, Executive Director of the Black Farmers and Agriculturalists of Florida, she serves on the Hemp Pilot Program Advisory Board for the University of Florida, is on the Board of the Hemp Feed Coalition and the U.S. Hemp Builders Association, is President of Green Sustainable Strong Consulting, and is a licensed hemp farmer in three states
In part 2 of this conversation, we’ll get into the strategies. I hope you’llll be inspired.
