Sometimes when I travel my body does not move. I was thinking of The Great Ocean road in Victoria, Australia this morning because I have itchy feet. I took these pictures a little more than a year ago. They are called The Twelve Apostles, limestone stacks formed by erosion outside of of Port Campbell National Park. They are breath-taking and worthy of being considered one of the wonders of the world, wouldn’t you agree. I looked for 12 but I only counted 10. Photos of these changing formations over the past 30 years show that nature has been at work.
From an Australian network I read that giving them “The Twelve Apostles” as a name began as a marketing ploy. Up until the 1960’s, they were called the Sow and the Piglets. Definitely this new name is an improvement for drawing a global crowd. Once you see them you begin to form a picture.
What is your favorite city in Australia? Have you ever been? Do you have one you want to visit and why?

Gorgeous pics Patricia. I have never been to Australia, but would love to go because I’ve heard about how laid back the culture and atmosphere is. Perhaps you could suggests a few areas to visit?

Yes I will do a follow up on Australia. The country actually captivated my imagination and I liked the people. Even though I sort of felt like the people I met didn’t have a clue about the aboriginals in their country. Surely you know that statement is an exaggeration. But what I mean is that among the people I met and interacted with, there were no aboriginal friends and very little interaction with this community. I visited the Aboriginal museum and had a chance to talk an share. next visit I am going to Alice Springs. But keep your eyes posted for more pics.
