My Weight Loss journey has me dialed into marketing messages about weight loss. Yesterday I noticed reporting on a “new” procedure, bariatric embolization, that professionals feel may be the wave of the future.
The participant reported on is a midlife woman, who like many of us, is working to rid herself of that layer of fat I referred to in an earlier post. I am unable to draw finite conclusions about this surgery because this woman was only “one of seven patients selected to be part of a BAE pilot trial.” She did however lose 30 pounds within the first three months and that is impressive. Some would say that in any case.\
One to two pounds per week is what is suggested by professionals. So this weight loss is in line with that as well as her new relationship with food. I know people who’ve had various weight loss surgeries that seem not to have had long-term results. I am not judging but it seems that nothing is permanent.
Take a look at what is done in this procedure and how it is different from has been done before.
What do you think? Would you do it?
