Finding Beauty in the Ordinary Changing of the Seasons
Opportunities for finding beauty in the world occur at any moment and in the most unexpected places. Walking my dog I noticed these 3 trees within 3 or 4 feet of each other. Instead of feeling sadness as these trees lose their leaves and they change from green to red, to orange to yellow, I reveled in witnessing these changes. It made me give thanks for my one very special life and for the privilege it really is to live. Finding beauty in the ordinary grounds me to the earth in an authentic way and is a reminder that I too must show up in my own life in an authentic way. More difficult than it sounds, I am sure you’d agree. The lesson I learned today however comes from Dr. Brian Weiss, a psychiatrist who said, “All of nature is resurrection.”
Does that ring true for you?

Patricia, I couldn’t agree more. I am drinking in the majesty of nature’s colors.
