Last week, I co-hosted Ardent’s Cannabis + Boomer’s private tutorial group with Sara after writing a piece on the importance of aging healthily. I’m calling it my maiden adventure with the FX because after this tutorial, I actually used the machine . I have owned it since April. Sara shared her expansive knowledge on decarbing cannabis taking the mystery out of owning the Nova and the Ardent FX, both beauties.
These machines have the ability to decarb both CBD-rich and THC-rich material. I own the FX where you simply push the A1 button to Decarb THC rich material or the A2 button if you want to Decarb CBD rich material. On the Nova to decarb CBD-rich material, you run it through the process twice.
My biggest stumbling block was in understanding dosing. If for example, you have purchased your material compliantly (as in from a medical dispensary), you will be able to look on the back of the purchase at the certificate of analysis ( CofA) to see exactly what percentages of cannabinoids and terpenes are in the product — whether it be flower, concentrate or otherwise.
.
Clearly, I will need additional guidance to understand dosage and potency of my DIY medicine. This went over my head making the jump from grams to miligrams to ounces. I actually decarbed and infused olive oil on Sunday. My FX really is as simple as pushing a button. But to do this right, I need to understand the math of what I am working with. I have not put my infused oil to culinary use yet, but let’s figure this out together. I know there is more to my unfinished explanation above.
So if you’re interested in going on this journey with me and a community of people that includes baby boomers, join the mailing list, and let’s get this party started. If you are ready to pick up your own Ardent Nova or Ardent FX, consider using my affiliate code CA-Boom for your purchase.
