I do move around the world. Most recently I tried to outrun the east coast cold weather and headed west in early December. It’s almost time to return but temperatures continue to remain below freezing and it’s almost March. Seems that this year winter did not come in full force until January. Given the low 4 degree temperature marks, excluding wind-chill factors that are being recorded, it is safe to say that winter may be prolonged this season. I digress. When I travel, I have a carry-on 18 inch suitcase that can hold enough clothes for a 10 day trip along with my 5 must remember travel items. This sometimes surprises people but here they are:
Must Remember Travel Item No. I
I do not travel with perfume but I do travel with Anu Essentials body butters. They replace the need for my usual Jo Malone perfume. All are lightly scented and because of their consistency go on with no dripping. Most importantly they keep the skin nicely moisturized for an entire day. That is really an accomplishment if you suffer from dry skin, especially during the winter months. Some of us call it ash. But this product is an absolute ash-be-gone solution. It is so, so good, very well priced, long lasting and can be obtained at Khamit Kinks, Anu Prestonia’s Brooklyn shop, or online at Anuessentials. The body butters all have names like Juicy, Green Tea, and Sultry Body Butter. There are five fragrances so you can change things up.
Must Remember Travel Item No. 2
Must Remember Travel Item Number 2 is Anu Essentials Nourishing Cleansing Gel Shampoo. I forgot to mention above when I was speaking of her body butters, that there are no sulfates, no parabens and no animal testing on any product in Anu Essentials’ line. This particular shampoo is very lightly scented, almost imperceptibly so. It lathers nicely but it also rinses squeaky clean. I do not find this shampoo to be at all drying. So it gets tossed into my suitcase, except I pour it into a smaller container so as not to have it confiscated.
Must Remember Travel Item No. 3
Because my suitcase is so small, I have become a better roller of my clothes. When you roll you save space. But when I unpack, wrinkles are a possible consequence. For that I pack and use the small size Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus. I was given a sample of the product a few months back and am just now getting around to sharing my experience. It’s so amazingly useful and a big problem solver for someone like me who really doesn’t like to iron. Downey Wrinkle Releaser Plus really does help eliminate wrinkles when packing.
Must Remember Travel Item No. 4
The BackJoy* is Must Remember travel item number 4. The claim with the BackJoy is that if you change your posture you can change your life. I really want to believe that it is not too late for me to work against my bad habits, to find my center once again and why not do it with an aid. As a publisher, writer, blogger, and strategist, I often find myself sitting for long periods. The BackJoy has a memory foam that sort of auto corrects bad posture. I have sincerely found it to be helpful in tipping my spine forward so that my vertebrae are not all crunched up. There is a full line of clothes that also pull you into correct posture. I actually have tried their Posturewear Elite shirts. They are very stylish and make even a couch potato look athletic.

Thank you for sharing Anu products. info. Great packing tips. You must have been a Girl Scout!

I enjoyed this post.I often hate to pack for vacations because I have so much to take with me. Pairing down to 5 essentials is very wise. I have made my life easier by replacing most skin care products with coconut oil to moisturize skin and hair. I take a small bottle of Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Thank you for creating these products. Clearly I am a fan. I realize I should be using the conditioner now that you mention it. I will make an adjustment.
